Environmental Statement

Partners in Advocacy recognise that we have a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operational activity.

To support this, we aim to:

Comply with all appropriate environmental regulatory requirements

Monitor environmental performance and reduce environmental impact

Increase awareness of the environmental impact we are creating

Ensure we take account of the potential environmental impact of new work opportunities

Ensure that our Board, Senior Leadership Team, Senior Managers and colleagues across the organisation are aware of our environmental stance and are fully cognisant of environmental good practice in our organisation

This environmental statement includes commitment to the following actions:

An annual environmental impact audit of all charity operations

An annual review of our environmental impact policy

Progress on improvements in our environmental performance will be a standard item at Senior Leadership Team meetings and Board meetings following each yearly environmental impact audit

All staff contracts will include a statement stating that staff will be expected to support the organisation in being an environmentally responsible organisation in how they carry out their day-to-day duties

Induction procedures for all new staff will include information and guidance on the organisations environmental practices

Environmental responsibility training will be included as a core component of mandatory training within the organisation

Our staff transport policy will seek to reduce unnecessary travel and make necessary travel as sustainable as possible

Our environmental policy includes good practice guidance on the use of electricity, paper consumption, printing, waste segregation and disposal
