Partners in Advocacy’s Mental Health Service supports young people in Glasgow and offer specialist mental health independent advocacy for children and young people aged up to 18 who are inpatients in the following facilities:
We can support you in these settings with a range of different issues, including:
- Understanding your rights under the Mental Health Act
- Helping you prepare for and attend your Mental Health Tribunal
- Speaking to your care team in hospital with you
- Attending meetings with you
- Helping you to input to your care plan
- Help you with Named Person and Advance Statements
- Issues at school whilst you are in hospital
- Any other issue that is important to you whilst you are in hospital
We can help you work out what you want to say, attend meetings with you and if you don’t feel able to speak yourself, we’ll speak up on your behalf. We can make sure that your rights are upheld and that your views and wishes are fully listened to when decisions are being made. We can also support you to get legal advice and representation.
